DA20-C1
In
1992, Diamond Aircraft introduced the DA20-A1 Katana in Canada
and started a very successful line of two-seat airplanes. Since
1998 the DA20-C1 Eclipse has been at the top
of this line with the Teledyne Continental IO-240-B3B engine,
which develops 125 HP. Over 200 units have been delivered and
found enthusiastic friends all over the world.
Distribution of the Diamond DA20-C1 to Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University began in November 2002. With 35 aircraft
of the DA20-C1 type the US Airforce Academy,
Embry Riddle will train 500 Air Force cadets annually at the
academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Another variant of the DA20-C1, the DA20-C1
Evolution, is a model with easy-to-operate equipment.
Being ideal for basic flight training, it is widely used by
reputable flight schools.
